Márgara Ortiz Tirado
Founder
Márgara founded the Camp Pipiol in 1964 as a way to keep her 8 kids entertained and happy in the summers, and as a place for them to live and play safely. Then cousins joined the group, and friends, and finally the idea of the summer camp was formed.
Genaro Ortiz Tirado
Director General de Pipiol
The Director General is Genaro Ortiz Tirado, one of Márgara's children, who grew up at Pipiol. Now his family, including his wife, Maria Pia, and their three children continue the camping tradition in Mexico.

We're in charge of registration, sales and marketing, as well as to plan the various events for all of the Pipiol groups. We do our best to keep in touch with all of our big Pipiol family.
Keeping everything clean and in good working order is the duty of the permanent staff of the Hacienda de Santa María Pipioltepec. Many of our families have lived in the area for generations, and we still love taking care of all of our guests at the hacienda!

We are GREAT FUN and guarantee that you will have a great time in all of the Pipiol programs. Most of u are between the ages of 18 and 25 years old, and we have so much energy. Count on our skills, talents and enthusiasm to make sure that the campers have the best time of their lives. We've been through rigorous and extensive and continuous training in safety, camping, first aid, and much, more!
